A pharmacist is a “scientist and health professional who, by virtue of the nature of the common graduation and registration requirements, is the only specialist in drugs and medicine whose initial education and training provide an understanding of the physical, chemical and biological properties of the material used in medicinal products; the formulation, preparation and storage of medicines, the use of medicines in disease state and prophylactic treatment, together with their potentially harmful effects, their misuse and abuse ”.
